So I'm back. Maybe momentarily, maybe permanently. I don't know if there's anything too interesting going on in my life right now that's worth a journal about. So Let me just catch you up on what's happened over the last seven months.
I'm in my 6th semester and in 3rd year. I'll graduate next year, but my mom wants me to do my graduates, but doing your graduates in creative writing is basically useless.
I'm not getting along with my family as much. The last time I saw them was Christmas and the next time will be Reading Week. After that I'll see them in the summer. My mom has changed a lot and because of her changing I've changed and i don't think I'm too happy with the reaction. See, I've believed I've taken my fair share of the shit in my 21 years of life here on Earth and I don't think I should have to put up with it anymore, so now I basically say that. Which makes me seem extremely cynical and bitchy, but if I didn't act this way I'm pretty sure I would have a neurosis or some sort of mental imbalance by now.
I think I'm still watching the same TV shows. I have one basically for every day of the week (save Friday) but the big ones are Lost (which I'll be missing every week due to a 4 hour class), The Office, Legend of the Seeker, Brothers and Sisters and the Big Bang Theory (although I admit that I just like the aspect of being in bed and falling asleep while this show is on).
Hobbies are the same too if not more advanced. I still play the Sims, though this time it's the Sims 3. However I do not play as often as the Sims 2 because it keeps screwing up my computer. I've recently just got back into writing fanfiction, I've been working on a certain Lost story 'Live Together, Die Alone' which is a mesh of Lost and Stephen King's The Stand. It's interesting because I get to make up whatever pairings I feel and kill off random people. I'm starting chapter 8 of it, but the first two chapters were posted almost two years ago.
My favorite past time though, has to be dubbing. I started seriously (what a juxtaposition) doing dubs in around grade 10 with my best friend Vicki. We'd dub cartoons, X-Men Evolution and Justice League mostly. But they were so fun.
Now, my friend Miriam and I do dubs of the Power Rangers and their awesome if I do say so myself. We've done both Americanized movies (The first movie and Turbo) and We're working our way through the first two season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers which doesn't sound like a lot but both seasons have around 57 episodes.
I think the best thing about the dubs is the fact that these characters which were already semi-developed (as developed as the characters in power rangers could possibly be) that we've given them new and hilarious personalities.
Like Kimberly and Tommy are in a verbally abusive relationship but she's to dumb to understand it. So She's always saying lovey things to Tommy and he's always telling her that he hates her. He also has a thing on the side with Jason (the first red one) because they touch each other way to much in the show for there not to be something there.
Billy, the smart one, is always saying random science or math facts. It's usually Physics or Calculus, but they way they're used in the sentence, it's like they've replaced slang words. Like "I don't know what it is, but it's scaring the biology out of me." or "I sense that physics is coming"
Adam (the second black ranger) doesn't talk, only mumbles because they never give him any lines. But now he's starting to mix in a few words with general mumbles.
Rocky (the second red ranger) is an extremely irate alcoholic. All he cares about is drinking and he hates everyone else but especially Aisha.
Anyway, that's what I've been doing with my life for the past seven months. I'm off to clean Biggie's tank (Booradley's replacement (his name started off as Astronaut: A Short History of Nearly Nothing, than Astronaut: ASHNN, than Big Haircut because he looks like Boo with a haircut and then just biggie).
